The intuitive notifications, combined messaging, activity cards, layered calendars and linked contacts, email, wifi, gps, photos & videos, and a splendid breathtaking design, Palm Pre, undoubtedly is one of the top gadgets as reviewed by Gadget Wars.

With Palm Services and its own Applications, it makes getting a Palm Pre totally worth the price its being sold for.

Overall, the Palm Pre has managed to catch up to the most talked about gadget, the Apple iPhone. Its on a higher level than all the other gadgets that have been reviewed. We take great pride in Palm and their efforts and creativity. Wireless charging wasn’t possible until the Pre.

Gadget Wars Item No. 4 – Samsung Omnia

21 09 2009

Samsung Omnia took customers by storm as the first Samsung Touch Mobile after the launch of the Apple iPhone. Gadget Wars reviewed Samsung Omnia but found it less than what it really is capable of doing.

With built in WiFi and support for aGPS Samsung Omnia could have been much better since it uses Windows Mobile 6.1, but it turned out to be a disappointment. The lack of user unresponsiveness and the slow system speed led people to change their handsets to something much faster.

The look and feel no the outside of the Omnia, as suggested by Gadget Wars, is quite well done. It has a sleek finish to it and gives the user a firm grip from accidental droppings.

Overall, the Samsung Omnia looks good from the exterior, but the interior is just plain old Windows Mobile which can be found on any other branded mobile, even the chinese ones. This is one gadget that Gadget Wars is disappointed about.

Gadget Wars Item No. 2 – Nokia N97

17 07 2009

With the latest craze of slide phones lately, Nokia decided to launch its own qwerty slide phone, the N97. Gadget Wars reviews the Nokia N97 today and discusses its tech specs in detail.

This is Nokia’s 3rd or 4th attempt to launch a touchscreen phone but the first time with a slideout qwerty keyboard. The looks of it aren’t that bad plus with wifi and gps, it makes this phone a great choice for keyboard fans.

Since the N97 still uses the Symbian, its better than using Windows Mobile, but it still is quite slow compared to other phones at this level. Nokia should start thinking about increasing the performance of the Symbian OS to make it more attractive to the audience. The internal memory of the phone is at an excellent point of 32GB plus having a 5.0 megapixel camera gives this phone an edge over other phones.

With the looks of the phone, the phone looks good plus the features are great as well, but do consider it as the price of the phone can seem to be out of reach for some. The phone comes in 2 different vibrant colors, black and white.

Gadget Wars Item No. 1 – Apple iPhone 3GS

16 07 2009

The new Apple innovation, the iPhone 3GS, has captured the eyes of many. Gadget Wars will review the iPhone 3GS and help you make a decision to buy your next best friend, your new mobile phone.

Still stuck in the AT&T contract, many people have tried different methods of obtaining this new device. With its all new features, it does seem attractive, but the question remains, shouldn’t these features be implemented in the first 3G iPhone?

Voice controller, double the ram, 200Mhz faster and a compass. It does have one benefit, of its increase in memory to 32GB from its previous most 16GB phones. One major feature, a Video Camera with a built-in video editor does seem like a lot, but think again.

Apple has always been one of the best choices out there for a smartphone, but 3GS doesn’t seem to be as attractive as it should have been.

Overall, either the 3G or the 3GS both are excellent based smartphones and suit everyday needs. If you aren’t looking for too much and want to keep it under budget, Gadget Wars would suggest you to stick to the 3G as there might be problems in the 3GS which haven’t been encountered yet.

Hope you enjoyed the review. Stay tuned for the review on Nokia N97.
